Kevin Mcinnis scholarship fund                                                                  "Be smart, be safe, be careful!"

On May 24th, 2008 our lives changes forever. Our husband, father, grandfather, friend, and uncle Kevin McInnis suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 51. He was gone and as a family we were absolutely devastated. We were brought to our knees and managed to stand again with the help of our family, friends, and community. Now we would like to give back in his memory.
We have learned a great deal about life through his example, and since his passing we as a family often come together and find our conversation turns to laughter and heartfelt tears as we remember the man he was. We have learned that a smile and kindness in your eyes actually does touch people. We learned that living simple is something to admire and that pride and passion are respectable traits all of which Kevin had. We've learned that every person on the team plays a part... there is no "I" in team!

Kevin was a huge sports fan and throughout his whole life he surrounded himself with it. If he wasn't playing sports he was helping those who did. He managed a Sporting Good Store for 26 years and later became the equipment manager for the Mens Harvard Hockey team. Sports was his passion and we want to keep that passion alive by providing a student athlete with a scholarship to continue following their dreams in college.
If you take nothing else from this remember to live simple and take nothing for granted. "Be Smart, Be Safe, Be Careful!". Thank you in advance for helping make our fundraiser a success.
